Press release: Search Engine Success - Terry's guide to dining & entertainment in Southwest & South-central MI dominates key Google searches

Terry's guide to fine dining and entertainment in South-central and Southwest Michigan dominates key Google categories by leveraging its blog and database of over 400 personally recommended eating and drinking establishments.

Founder and "foodie" Terry St. Louis launched MichiganFoodandDrink.com because he was frustrated with database driven, self-serve dining guides that list fast food places, online directories that allow restaurant owners to post their own information, and other Internet guides that are not kept up to date and list establishments that are no longer in business or have changed ownership.

Terry's guide is a labor of love. Terry regularly blogs and adds new personally reviewed and recommended dining and entertainment venues. See MichiganFoodandDrink.com if you are interested in finding a good place to go. Terry's guide features "only the good places."

Summer is here. Southwest and South-central Michigan have plenty of great summer vacation destinations. Terry's Guides invites anyone who is interested in finding "only the good places" to visit MichiganFoodandDrink.com and look through the database. You will not be disappointed.

Delivering unique and valuable original information through blogs and other social media is a time tested search engine optimization (SEO) strategy. Terry's commitment to regularly updating his guide with personally selected new "hidden treasures" and old neighborhood family favorites is directly responsible for his website and blog's search engine success(SES).

Following are few examples of Terry's guide's fist page search engine success in key Google categories.

"only the good places": #1, #2, #3 and #4 out of 73,500 Google results worldwide.

Michigan Restaurant Guide: #1 of 15,100,000 Google results.

South-central Michigan Restaurants: #1, #2, #3, #4 and #7 of 6,550,000 results.

Southwest Michigan Restaurants: Fifth out of 853,000 Google results.

Michigan Dining Guide: Fourth out of 7,620,000 results.

Southwest Michigan Dining: #4 and #5 out of 571,000 results.

Terry St. Louis has leveraged Team Hypernet's search engine optimization methodology to attain his search engine success. Team Hypernet defines SES as having one's website found on the 1st page when using relavent Google search terms. [more]

New Spanish restaurant in Marshall

This place is right on the main drag in an old building with a high tin ceiling and brick walls. The unique Zarzuela Spanish Restaurant in Marshall will provide a special dining experience to those willing to try something new. Several sandwich, soup and salads for lunch using Spanish recipes and real Spanish ingredients. I had a serrano ham sandwich with 12 month aged manchego sheeps milk cheese. The dinner menu is larger with paella specials nightly. They also have some nice pastas like espagheti carbonara or pasta con gambas. Try the Spanish olives, almonds, cheeses and cured meats. If you like squid or gazpacho sevillano soup...they have it. The liquor license is on its way. Desserts are house made, as are many of their unique offerings. Check out the guide for more details.

Did you ever go to Emilio's?

Emilio's closed in 1992 and was located on Michigan Ave. in the Wattles Park area of Battle Creek. It was very unique and had a very loyal clientele. We drove from Kalamazoo to Emilio's at least once every two weeks just for lunch! The man, the food, the atmosphere were unmatched. However, his lead cook for 23 years opened her own joint in Marshall in 1993 on the east end of downtown and calls it Oye' Amigo's. She even has a tribute to Emilio in her restaurant and is serving all my old favorites from the original recipes. The best hot sauce I have ever had. Great guacamole (try a spoon for only two dollars)! I order the tortilla shells dry, but they are good with butter as well. I was a young man going to Emilio's and I still love going to Oye' Amigo's every chance I get. Check it out even if you never heard of Emilio's.

We do have Cajun food in Southwest Michigan!

Do you like Cajun food? Then go to Pasche's Seafood Kitchen next to the new Firekeeper's casino between Battle Creek and Marshall. When was the last time you had jambalaya, crawfish e'toufee, fried oysters, gumbo, blackened catfish or a po'boy sandwich? Try the crawfish bisque with some cornbread. How about some cajun shrimp, crabcakes or some alligator tail meat! Or do you like dirty rice or red beans and rice? Bread pudding for dessert and you have all the makings of several great meals. Don't miss this one. Do not let the attachment to the hotel fool you. This is a very good restaurant

Two Bakeries Added

I went to two bakeries this week and added them both. I have walked or driven by this little bakery a hundred times and never noticed it. Jim T. told me I was missing the boat so I stopped. He was right! Louie's Bakery in downtown Marshall may be a hole in the wall, but what great food! They are known far and wide for their cakes and pies. I have read other reviews that rave about the lemon merenque. I also heard they had the best creme horns anywhere so I tried one and I agree! They are most famous for their nutty rolls. I had one of those later. This looks like a cinnamon roll with a light brown buttercream frosting filled with chopped peanuts...unbelievable. I will have a hard time going anywhere near Marshall now without stopping in Louie's. More details in the guide.
